Where is the rest of the supply? Read circulating ratio and unlocks together
① tells you how much is already out. When the rest arrives, and who decides, is what ③a and ③b tell you.
Supply not yet circulating comes in three kinds
- Scheduled unlocks (③a). Supply with a public schedule that will be released in the next 12 months, such as team and investor vesting.
- No schedule (③b). Supply that is not circulating and has no public release date, such as tokens held by a foundation or ecosystem fund. The holder decides when to release it.
- Future issuance. New tokens created by rule over time, such as staking rewards or mining. Once issued they count in ② (supply growth), not as unlocks.
Note that ③a and ③b are both a percentage of today's circulating supply. A ③b of 100% means the unscheduled part is as large as everything on the market today.

Three examples
1. STRK: the clearest schedule, and the clearest pressure
STRK's ① is 74.6%, which doesn't look low. But ③a is 19.8%. Under the plan StarkWare announced in February 2024, investors and early contributors unlock 127M tokens a month until March 2027. Add the foundation, ecosystem grants and other parts, and about 1.5B tokens are scheduled over the next 12 months.
Over the past 12 months, STRK's circulating supply already grew from 4.32B to 7.59B tokens (② +75.8%).
2. SUI: less than half is out, and most of the rest has no schedule
SUI's ① is 41.2%. Scheduled unlocks for the next 12 months are only 3.6%, which looks mild. But ③b is 139.2%: the part with no public schedule is larger than the entire supply circulating today. Outsiders cannot know in advance when it will reach the market.
3. HYPE: the lowest circulating ratio, yet supply shrank last year
HYPE's ① is only 22.2% and its ③b is 276%. But ② over the past 12 months is −17.9%, so circulating supply went down. Its ④ (holder revenue ÷ market cap) is 4.64%; UNI is the only other token of the 30 above 3%. HYPE's ③a is a range of 1.8%–53.5% because sources conflict, so it is marked "pending verification".
So a low circulating ratio does not mean a token is being diluted right now. Look at how fast supply actually grows (②), and whether anyone is buying it back (⑥).
How to read these numbers together
- Start with ③a: how much is scheduled for the next 12 months. Above 15% is red.
- Then ③b: how large the unscheduled part is. It never shows up on an unlock calendar, but can be released at any time.
- Then ②: how much supply actually grew last year. Plans and reality can differ.
Read these numbers with care
- Sources differ in reliability. ③a uses official schedules first; numbers based only on third-party models are marked "not officially verified". STRK's foundation portion is one of them: it is a DefiLlama model of the foundation's plan, with no official monthly breakdown.
- For tokens with no cap, ① uses the current total supply, so future issuance is not part of ①.
- This is not financial advice. These numbers describe supply structure. They don't forecast prices.
Sources
- All numbers come from the TokenWorth data of 2026-10-25. Each token's values, source links and calculations are on its token page (tap a token in the chart above).
- Indicator definitions and thresholds: the Guide on the homepage.
- Raw data: CoinGecko (circulating and total supply); unlock schedules from official project announcements first, then DefiLlama unlocks (each token's verification level is on its page under ③a).
- STRK: StarkWare's February 2024 announcement (reported by The Block), DefiLlama STRK unlocks.
